STEPHENIE SKYLLAS (President) Originally from Portland, Oregon, Stephenie has been a New Yorker for over 20 years. The bright lights of Broadway were her original calling, and before turning to her career in real estate she managed and produced very successful shows on and off Broadway. Some highlights include Rubble by Emmy Award-Winning “The Simpsons” writer Mike Reiss, starring Bruce Vilanch and Jerry Adler; When Everything Was Possible starring Kurt Peterson & Victoria Mallory; producing Onward & Upward and The Chalkboard Trilogy for UP Theater Company; and the Off-Broadway Commercial run of Tales From The Tunnel starring Tony Award-Winner Wilson Jermaine Heredia. Stephenie spent five seasons at New York City Center as General Manager that included fifteen Encores!, three Encores! Summer Stars (Gypsy with Patti LuPone, Damn Yankees with Sean Hayes & Jane Krakowski, The Wiz with Ashanti), A Gala Evening with Kristin Chenoweth and the Sondheim 80th Birthday Gala. Other New York theatre credits include various work at Roundabout Theatre Company, Richard Frankel Productions and Manhattan Theatre Club on Broadway shows The Producers, Hairspray, Assassins, Pacific Overtures, A Streetcar …and more.

Stephenie has been long rooted UPtown, having lived in Washington Heights, Inwood and now in the Bronx with her two young children. Her love of real estate and commitment to community led her to partner with THE BIZZARRO AGENCY where she now works as a realtor helping homebuyers and sellers accomplish their real estate goals. You can also find her singing in the choir at Fort Washington Collegiate Church, filling up the Fort Fridge and other community fridges uptown, attending outdoor yoga in Inwood Hill Park, and exploring the endless trails in the woods of Van Cortlandt Park.

CARL PASBJERG (Treasurer)  is Managing Partner of Alchemy Production Group, a theatrical management and production company, and President of One Viking Productions.  Broadway management and producing credits include:  Water For Elephants, Come From Away (Broadway, North American Tour, Toronto, West End, Australia), The Music Man starring Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster, To Kill a Mockingbird starring Jeff Daniels, Melissa Etheridge – My Window, Rocktopia, Celebrity Autobiography, In Transit, Alton Brown – Eat Your Science, Doctor Zhivago, The Illusionists (2014-2019 Broadway Engagements), First Date, Memphis (Broadway, West End and North American Tour), A Christmas Story – The Musical, Donny & Marie – A Broadway Christmas, Guys and Dolls, Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein; Off-Broadway’s A Sign of The Times, Lucky Guy and Jump; Touring Productions of Rockin’ Road To Dublin, Dee Snider’s Rock and Roll Christmas Tale, Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends Live; and Magic Mike Live (US Tour, London, Berlin and Australia).

Carl has consulted on, developed, produced and managed many live stage productions in Las Vegas including productions of Magic Mike Live, Rock of Ages, Absinthe, Jersey Boys, Mat Franco – Magic Reinvented Nightly, Paul Zerdin – Mouthing Off, Thomas John – Celebrity Psychic Medium and Puppet Up.

Prior to starting his own companies, Carl was Senior Vice President of Theatrical Production at Clear Channel Entertainment/Live Nation and was the Executive Producer for the $35 Million production of The Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Other prior Broadway producing and management credits include: 700 Sundays starring Billy Crystal, Lennon, Hollywood Arms, Judgment at Nuremberg, The Ride Down Mt. Morgan starring Patrick Stewart, The Herbal Bed, Taking Sides starring Ed Harris, The Gershwins’ Fascinating Rhythm, Jekyll & Hyde, Steel Pier, and Victor/Victoria starring Julie Andrews; Off-Broadway: Addicted…a comedy of substance; Tours: Cabaret starring Teri Hatcher, South Pacific starring Robert Goulet, Cover Girls, Dora The Explorer Live, Blue’s Clues Live, Scooby Doo Live, Rocket Power Live, Master Class, My Fair Lady, and Delerium with Cirque du Soleil.  

He is a member of the Broadway League, and a board member of The Storm Theatre and UP Theater Company.

MICHAEL THOMAS FOIS (Member) is an attorney and a Senior Trial Examiner in the NYC Office of Collective Bargaining. He received his B.S. from Fordham University where he got his first taste of theater (back stage) from the on-campus Mimes & Mummers theater club. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia. He is an avid traveler and has been to more than 50 countries on all 7 continents. After graduating Law School, Michael spent seven years with the Legal Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York before starting his own private practice. He is a Founding Member of UP and lives in Inwood.

LIZ RITTER (Member) has lived in Inwood or Washington Heights since 1983, and is a lifelong fan of live theatre. She is a longtime Community Board 12 member and for many years Chaired its Parks & Cultural Affairs Committee; an active member and Trustee of her synagogue; former trustee of various civic and arts non-profits; a singer in choirs; occasional photographer, poet and preacher; an intermittent student and teacher of Improv; and an avid crocheter. Since the pandemic Liz has been working in the mutual aid space: distributing meals to community fridges; doing outreach to unhoused New Yorkers with food and care kits; and helping to organize FreeStores, a dignified shopping experience where everything — clothing, toiletries, toys, and various home goods — is free.

Liz is retired; past jobs include Community Liaison in the New York State Senate, Planner & Psychiatry Administrator at Bellevue Hospital, Director of Grants & Contracts at Presbyterian Hospital, publishing a community newspaper, free-lance consulting, and running a jewelry business. She holds an MBA in Health Care Administration jointly awarded by CUNY’s Baruch College & the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and a BA in Political Science/Philosophy from SUNY Buffalo. Originally from Boston, Liz grew up primarily on Long Island’s north shore, with a brief stint in Washington, DC. She is married (since 1989) to Barry Ritter. They have two married children and a delightful grandchild, and enjoy traveling. (25 countries and 35 states + the District of Columbia & Puerto Rico, and counting).
